Port Kaituma, Residents to Enjoy Improved Water Supply – over 300 to get first time access

Hundreds of residents in the Matarkai sub-district of Region One are set to benefit from improved water service.

This follows the inking of a contract between the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) and the Martakai Neighborhood Democratic Council (NDC) for the upgrading of the Port Kaituma water supply system. Minister of Housing and Water, Hon. Collin Croal presented the contract to the NDC Chairman, Mr. Orlando Thorne, on Friday.

Over 4,000 Berbicians to Benefit from Improved Water Service

Residents in several communities in East Berbice, Region Six are slated to benefit from improved access to potable water.

Hon. Susan Rodrigues, Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water, made this remark during a peace summit hosted by the Junior Chambers International-Guyana (JCI) in Canje, Berbice.
