The Government of Guyana (GoG) through the Ministry of Housing and Water, Central Housing and Planning Authority is desirous of engaging Suppliers in ALL regions to supply construction materials specifically cement and steel as part of the Government’s support for home builders as was announced by His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali.
Applicants for the program will be qualified by CHPA who will then issue a voucher to the successful applicants. The voucher is intended to be redeemed by the beneficiaries from the various Suppliers who will be participating in the program.
Suppliers will be required to inform the Agency of the prices at which they intend to provide the specified materials below. Suppliers should be keen to note that successful applicants will be issued a voucher for the materials and they are required to pick up the materials from the respective stores.

Suppliers desirous of participating in this opportunity are invited to submit their proposal to the Chief Executive Officer, Central Housing and Planning Authority, 41 Brickdam and United Nations Place, Stabroek Georgetown consisting of the following;
- Cover letter detailing the Supplier’s interest in participating in the program. This letter shall include the Supplier’s business registration or incorporation document along with the VAT certificates where applicable.
- Supplier’s capability of supplying large quantities of the items.
The Central Housing and Planning Authority on behalf of the Government of Guyana will assess the responses to this Expression of Interest (EOI) and select those parties, who will be invited to participate in the government’s support for home builders program.
The Executing Agency of the Government, The Ministry of Housing and Water, Central Housing and Planning Authority hereby invites Hardware Suppliers to submit Expression of Interest (EOIs) as prescribed above by Friday, October 21, 2022.
All EOIs should be placed in a sealed envelope titled (“Expression of Interest for the supply of construction materials: steel and cement for Government’s support for home builders Program”) and deposited by the submission deadline to the Tender Box at Central Housing and Planning Authority, 41 Brickdam and United Nations Place, Stabroek, Georgetown.
