Design, Finance & Development of 80 Acres of Land as a Healthcare Hub – Silica City

The Government of Guyana, through the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified developers for the design, financing, and construction of a healthcare-focused, mixed-use development hub within Silica City — Guyana’s first smart and sustainable city.

About Silica City:
Located north of the Linden–Soesdyke Highway, approximately 40 km from Georgetown and 5 km from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Silica City is envisioned as a modern, climate-resilient urban ecosystem integrating innovation, nature, and smart technology.

Project Overview:
The proposed 80-acre Healthcare Hub will include:

  • A state-of-the-art hospital and specialty medical facilities
  • Innovation and research centers
  • A university campus
  • Residential development (approx. 580 households)
  • Integrated green spaces, parks, and ecological landscapes

Proposals must demonstrate strong environmental sensitivity, efficient land use, and incorporation of renewable energy and smart infrastructure, such as solar panels, EV charging stations, and energy-efficient building systems.

Eligibility Requirements:
EOIs must include:

  • Company registration, tax compliance, and incorporation documents
  • Audited financial statements (past 3 years)
  • List of similar completed projects and qualified personnel
  • Statement on proposed financing plan and cost estimates
  • Design concept, work plan, and sustainability approach

Submission Deadline:
EOIs must be submitted on or before November 21, 2025, addressed to:
Chairman, Board of the Central Housing & Planning Authority
