Addressing developments in the water sector, he noted that under the current administration, Value Added Tax (VAT) was removed from water charges, water subsidies provided for pensioners, and significant improvements are being made for enhanced access and quality. In Eccles, the water treatment system has been upgraded and water output is being increased from 5 to 15 MLD.
